The concept of organisational and legal support for the information activities of the State Bureau of Investigations

The relevance of the study is determined by the increasing role of information activity in ensuring the effective functioning of law enforcement bodies, particularly the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), in the context of digital transformation of public administration. At the same time, the current legislation of Ukraine does not provide a comprehensive and systematic regulation of the information activity of the SBI, which leads to fragmentation of legal norms and complicates the practical implementation of information processes.
The purpose of the study is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the information activity of the State Bureau of Investigation and to develop a conceptual approach to its organizational and legal support, including the identification and characterization of its structural components.
The methodology of the research is based on a combination of general scientific and special legal methods. The dialectical method was used to examine the development of information activity in relation to modern digital processes. The formal-legal method was applied to analyze regulatory legal acts governing information relations. The system-structural method enabled the identification and characterization of the main components of organizational and legal support. In addition, the method of generalization was used to formulate conclusions and theoretical provisions.
The results of the study indicate that the organizational and legal support of the information activity of the SBI should be considered as a complex system consisting of interrelated components: regulatory (legal), organizational and communication, procedural, and technical. Each of these components performs a specific function in ensuring the creation, processing, storage, use, dissemination, and protection of information. The proposed approach constitutes the scientific novelty of the study, as it allows for a systematic understanding of the mechanism of information activity and creates a basis for improving legal regulation, strengthening interagency cooperation, and ensuring a balance between efficiency and the protection of human rights in the information sphere.
