Formation of basic hand-to-hand combat techniques among students of the «Law Enforcement» and «National Security» specialties, taking into account the level of development of their physical qualities.

Abstract

The article reveals the peculiarities of the formation of basic hand-to-hand combat skills in students majoring in Law Enforcement and National Security, taking into account the degree of development of their physical qualities in practical classes in the discipline «Physical Training and Self-Defense Techniques». Particular attention is paid to the issue of acquiring an appropriate level of physical training (general and special) by students in order to acquire basic skills in hand-to-hand combat techniques at different stages of physical training as an integral part of the professional training of future law enforcement officers. Innovations in the organization of special physical training of future law enforcement officers are analyzed.  

Taking into account the level of development of physical qualities of students majoring in «Law Enforcement» and «National Security», the study determines which interactive teaching methods should be used in the process of forming basic skills in hand-to-hand combat. After all, the peculiarities of modern law enforcement mean that future professionals will need not only thorough legal knowledge but also a high level of physical fitness. At the same time, in order to prevent injuries during special physical training classes, special attention should be paid to the preparation of the venue for physical training classes in higher education institutions and the places of basic hand-to-hand combat practices, techniques and movements.

The authors of this publication emphasize the importance of performing reasonable insurance and self-insurance when learning special techniques, as this increases the density of classes and improves the quality of training in hand-to-hand combat techniques. The content of special physical training for students majoring in Law Enforcement and National Security at higher education institutions of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine is determined by the need to teach specialized basic hand-to-hand combat skills. For this purpose, it is necessary to ensure proper training of students of higher education institutions that train police officers, taking into account the context of their future professional activities.
